My love...

Regardless of our faults and flaws, my love is my love.
Despite our hang-ups and annoyances, my love is my love.
We move beyond the issues, rants and raves...my love is my love.
Prince Charming is naught but a fairy tale, my hero is a man...my love is my love.
A love is a hug at the airport gate; a love is a love, out of sweetness and not hate.
Love is true when you look past the heart's bruise....
My love is my love.
It makes no sense, there is no rhyme...
What if God gives exactly as you ask?
And you spit in his face and take a pass....
HIS will ensuring
Your wish enduring
What you seek may be disguised
My prince is a man....a Godly man... glorified and justified
Do not look for perfect fairy tale things...
Real love comes of Godly commitments and simple gold rings...

Busy,busy,busy.....

Time is your excuse.......
Selfishness is your reason.
Stop making excuses...make time for your loves and your Lord.

Hold Fast to Dreams....

Hold fast to dreams

For if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged bird

That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams

For when dreams go

Life is a barren field

Frozen with snow.

~Langston Hughes

I cannot recall the first time that I read this poem, I only know that I memorized it immediately and have cherished the words ever since. It is inscribed inside a ring I wear daily. The Lord uses my everyday life to teach me things...most likely because I am too stubborn to slow down enough to listen...He has been doing this for as long as I can remember, and for that I am truly grateful. Langston Hughes' words were one of these said lessons. I know that God is an artist, I see His paintings every night. I know God is an author, I read His words daily. I know God is a scholar, His knowledge is sought after year after year. I know God loves, for He has used His art, His words, and His wisdom to guide me for 24 years.
